1966-1969 – Ryerson Polytechnical Institute – Graduated with Diploma in Electronic Technology

1969-1975 – CN Telecommunications – mobile radio engineering

1975–2005 – Royal Canadian Mounted Police – Telecommunications Branch - mobile radio engineering

1987 – obtained Limited Licence from Professional Engineers of Ontario to practice Engineering at RCMP

2005 - Retired


Amateur Radio History

1963 - First licensed as VE3DVF in Toronto.

1990 – Applied for and received two-letter call sign VE3LC


While at RCMP I have been an active promoter of amateur radio to fellow employees and engineering work-term students, many of whom now have their amateur radio certificates.


Active on HF, VHF and UHF bands.


Responsible for VE3MPC Repeater


Member of ARRL and RAC. Serving as RAC Vice President – Industrial Liaison and represent RAC and Canada’s amateurs to Radio Advisory Board.


Member of OVMRC and OARC


Also member of QCWA and Chapter 70. Was presented with QCWA “40 Years Licensed” lapel pin at the Chapter 70 May 2006 dinner meeting.
