Education/Employment History


Graduated from the University of Belgrade in 1991 with B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.


Worked in Belgrade, Yugoslavia for the national telephone company for 4 years as an RF system engineer before moving to Canada in 1995.


Have been working for 16 years in Canada as a Software Engineer on Network Management applications. Currently employed by Mitel Corporation.


Amateur Radio History


Started in 1980 in the hometown local radio club YU1IMN. Operated from there until 1985, when I went to serve a mandatory army service.


Member of YU1EXY contest club from 1986 to 1991. Held call sign YU1JJ.


Moved to Canada in 1995 and passed the exam in 1997. Obtained call VE3ANX.


Started operating again in 1999 from my home in Ottawa. Obtained call VE3JM in 2003.


My main interests are operating on HF and contesting. I have been operating many times from VE3RM during contests.


In 2010 bought an acreage outside of Ottawa, where I am building a contest station.
