1951 – McGill University - McDonald College – Graduated with BSc (Agriculture)
1951-1955 – Shur-Gain Feed and Fertilizer – Formulation of and control of feed manufacturing by local mills
1955-1959 – Department of Agriculture – Organization and Position Classification
1959-1966 – Civil Service Commission – development of standards for classification of positions in scientific and technical occupations.
1966-1969 – Treasury Board – (branch moved) - development of standards for classification of positions in scientific and technical occupations.
1969-1987 – Department of Public Works – departmental classification of positions, developed a database design for classification of positions.
1987 – Retired
Amateur Radio History
1959 – First licensed as VE3BYT in Ottawa.
Member of RAC. Served as Chair of RAC VHF/UHF Band-Planning Committee (1999-2007).
Author of article “Skew Planar Antennas Revisited” in November/December 2006 issue of TCA. Translated article also appeared in April, 2010 issue of Greek amateur radio magazine “Radio Telecommunications”.
Former member of OVMRC and served as Secretary-Treasurer (1961-1962).
Member of OARC and served as Vice President (1965).
Member of Rideau Lakes Amateur Radio Club and served as original Web Master for several years.
Member of St Lawrence Valley Repeater Council and served as Frequency Co-ordinator or Chairman (for 20 years) and original Webmaster (for 10 years)
Member of West Carleton Amateur Radio Club and served as Secretary (1997-2007)
Amateur radio interests include microcontrollers, VHF/UHF antennas, repeaters and associated technologies.
Member of QCWA and Chapter 70. Served on the organizing Committee for the October 2004 QCWA International Convention. Received QCWA “50 Years Licensed” Golden Certificate and lapel pin at the Chapter 70 May 2009 dinner meeting.
